About this Event

Are you a Farmer considering Diversification? Or a Food Processing or Tourism business with ambitions to grow? Then come along to ‘Grant Application Support & Signposting’

This event is for farmers and landowners in the North East wishing to diversify into non-agricultural activities as well as small established businesses in food processing and tourism with ambitions to grow.

The Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) Growth Programme is open for expression of interest (EOI) applications until Sunday 16 February 2020. The programme provides grants for rural start-ups and established businesses to open up opportunities for tourism or grow their business.

At this event, kindly sponsored by Parsons Containers, Craig Wilson, Destination Programme Manager, Visit County Durham will outline the Northern Saints Trails due to open in Spring 2020 and the increasing demand for high-end accommodation. Joanne Metcalfe, Rural Chartered Surveyor, youngs RPS will provide top tips on how to complete the EOI form. Yvonne Gale, CEO, NEL Fund Managers will give an overview of The North East Small Loan Fund and how investment can help unlock grant funding. The afternoon will conclude with a Q&A session and networking.
