This full day workshop is designed for business owners and entrepreneurs looking for investment in their business. It will highlight how to become “investor ready” and secure business funding.
The reasons for raising capital include ensuring you have sufficient working capital for growth, for acquisitions, for new product development and launch, to scale-up the business, for capital expenditure and for restructuring.
Getting the right type of funding for your business can make a big difference to its success. It’s also important to review your business performance and ensure you effectively manage your resources.
This workshop will provide you with an overview of the basics of raising capital funding and includes:
- The alternatives to bank lending for funding business expansion, both debt and equity
- Determining the source of capital most appropriate for your business needs
- How to approach and pitch to lenders and investors
- Looking at the information you will need to present
- Developing a business plan and financial forecasts
- The important of cash flow and managing working capital
- Understanding the Capital Investment decision making process
Mike Guellard, investment executive from NEL Fund Managers will deliver a presentation on the Small Loan Fund and the Growth Capital Fund, both of which are designed to accelerate the growth potential of established North East businesses. Mike will also answer any specific funding questions that you may have.
