Some of the NEL team spent a day volunteering with the incredible charity The Bread and Butter Thing, which is tackling food waste while making healthy, nutritious food accessible to people who need it most in communities across the UK.

It’s a huge-scale operation at their Chilton Warehouse, and we were proud to play a small part — loading vans, stacking crates, moving pallets, sorting food and packing bags ready to be distributed through TBBT’s ever-growing network of community hubs.

With over 20 million meals distributed annually to more than 100,000 members, TBBT is making a real and lasting difference.
